Time for lots of beautiful freerolls… and the one I’ve been playing forever, Pokerstars $20,000 Weekly VIP freeroll, in about an hour, wooooot. Wish me luck. No rakeback on these pots though!
Hey hey hey, I’m finally playing on AP again since I didn’t sell my computer. So I can still play on windows, instead of only mac on my girlfriend’s computer, which Absolute Poker doesn’t support. So hopefully I can make at least a few dollars of rakeback today. I’ve only got $100 left at AP to work with, but it’s more than I’ve got at Full Tilt or Pokerstars so that’s that. I also hit up the Pokerstars VIP $20,000 Freeroll today and blew out early with my AQo vs. 99. I was ahead on the turn with a pair of queens but then the river came a 4th spade and he had the 9 o’ spades. Maybe next week.
I’m also going to hit up the rakeupdate freeroll as usual tomorrow afternoon, wish me luck, I’ve been bubbling out at that one the past few weeks, and it’s getting kind of annoying.
Well, I made it into another $5000 NL Holdem weekly RU
freeroll (all you have to do is earn a little bit of rakeback each week, even if it’s only a dollar and you’re in the freeroll) and I survived for quite a while, but ended up in 49th, when there are 45 places paid, not much luck lately! I still haven’t been playing much due to other things consuming my time and not much of a bankroll because I don’t feel like taking all the time to build it back up yet. That’s about it! Maybe I’ll start posting some juicy hands again when I start playing some more… l8r
Well, the reason for my lack of updates is I really do not have much of a bankroll left after I went insane a week ago or so and lost most of it. I don’t know what I was thinking, I wasn’t. Hopefully I can get something going again and keep the rake flowing in! Bankroll management is the most important aspect of poker!!! And I forgot about it…
I don’t have any big hands to talk about today, but I am making at least $40 a day now from rakeback alone… This is the best site I’ve found for rakeback. They have a private freeroll every week and they give out extra cash every week to the top earners as well as an affilliate program and you can cash out your rakeback at anytime. All the other sites take weeks or a month!
Check them out… rakeupdate
Well. I hit the tables around 11:30am today. As soon as I was on people were raising and cold calling every pot, I was like, did they all put slurpees in the water? And did they have cookies for breakfast, maybe some cotton candy too? Anyway, I had another average day. I am trying to make at least $100/day, through conservative play most of the time and through playing quite a few pots and getting rakeback from them. I have been doing that for about a week now. Here’s the hand of the day!

Well, I woke up a little late and hit the tables at Pokerstars and FullTilt around 11am. I have been playing strictly NL and PL Omaha Hi/Lo (8’s or better, whatever you want to call it) for about the past month. And my mental poker health has greatly improved as well as my bankroll. For a while I was trying to get all the VIP points and FPPs playing 15 tables of NL Holdem, but I had huge bankroll swings playing that so I decided to try a different game again. I basically never go on tilt now, because Omaha HiLo is much nicer to play than Holdem. You’ve always got back up and you pretty much expect people to hit some kind of draw most of the time. It’s not AA vs JJ all in preflop and you lose.
I don’t make quite as many FPPs, but I make a lot more money and lose a lot less. So I’m going to stick with Omaha for now, another than a few Holdem tournaments here and there. I also started out at the .10/.25 Omaha8 games a month ago and now I’m playing the $1/$2 games. There are still plenty of people willing to throw their money away on hands like this…

Hi, this rake4rent here.
I started playing online back at the tail end of 2005, right after I got out of the Navy. I quickly blew loads of money. I had no idea what I was doing but I thought I could beat the game. I kept this up for a year or so then my interest faded as I finally got a decent job for a while. I learned a lot with my first year and I read a few books and was amazed at all the different strategies and ideas people came up with for the game.
Now I have started playing a lot again the past few months, and the main thing I have been focusing on is managing my bankroll! I have been doing that better than ever as I have not had to reload at all and I am finally gradually increasing my bankroll and I hope to be able to play poker to pay my rent and bills soon enough, and maybe even feed starving children!
